Plane

The plane is an item that allows you to fly. To create the plane you need 250 wood, 8 hawk feather, 10 paper and 10 thread in a Workbench

Using[]

To be able to fly the player must walk in one direction while he(Airplane) is equipped, after a while the player will start to get bigger, which means that he is flying, stop pressing any movement button will make the player start to land, note that this takes some time to occur.

Tips[]

The hardest ingredient is probably Hawk Feathers, as it can be a problem to get them, especially if you're just starting out in the game. Use the book as you create, as it takes a relatively long time to create the plane;

The player can still drown and take damage (from any source) while taking flight, but is immune to almost all sources of damage while flying (the only sources being other players flying and status);

The player can still collide with objects when taking flight, so make sure the space ahead is clear of anything;

DO NOT equip the Airplane while running away from something/someone, you cannot take flight while taking damage from entities (Players, Mobs, etc)

If you intend to do a "Survive on the Island" challenge, it's better to create the plane than the Boat

  • Take me as an example: I spent more than 1 hour of preparation (creating Chapka, Backpack, Book, Bottles, Equipment, Helmet, etc), to go in the snow biome, then another 1 hour to get all the resources (10 Lines of diamond, 2 Winter Skins, 2 GMO Piranha scales and 250 wood) so when I finally get the boat for the first time in my life the Internet goes down
  • In comparison, I spent almost 1 hour to make the plane and get the useful items (Chapka, Backpack, Book, equipment and good quality food)

Curiosities[]

The plane was added in the "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY" update.

450 pieces of wood are needed to make the plane (200 for the paper and 250 for the plane itself), of course, excluding the costs to make a pickaxe, Sword/Spear, etc.
