This page will provide detailed information on the cold bar and the speed of the cold bar increase and decrease depending on the biome, clothing, and other factors. Many articles provide incorrect or outdated information, so this article will draw statistics directly from https://starve.io/commands.html#helmets-and-hats and https://starve.io/commands.html#gauge-speed, which show all the up-to-date statistics, except (for some reason) the effects of the Desert and the Turbans. This is likely because this the commands page has not been updated to include most of the desert features, although some are there. All desert-related statistics will likely have to be found by testing, as the source code of the game is no longer publicly available.

Additionally, Roofs provide ?? extra warmth. Standing near a Fire provides 20 warmth, unless the blue bar is completely full, in which it only provides 5 warmth for the Red cold bar. Standing inside a fire will give 25 extra warmth, even if the blue bar is completely full, though you will take damage. Standing near or inside a fire will completely negate the ambient temperature unless the ambient temperature is positive, which means that when standing near a fire, your cold bar may not increase by any less than 20 units (or 5 units for the red cold bar).
