Tomato is a kind of food that can only be obtained via farming, it can be used to buy Amethyst (8 tomatoes for 1 amethyst) or to buy Thorn Bush Seeds (16 tomatoes for 1 thorn bush seeds). In order to buy one Tomato Seed, you need 20 Carrots. It is one of the most inefficient food sources in the game, only consumed by the fact that is easy to get a lot of them. Another way to obtain Tomato Seeds is via crafting. You need 8 tomatoes for 1 seed and have to be near a fire source.
